The Godfather of New Zealand house music, Greg Churchill, gets geared up with a Power Mac G5.
A regular fixture on the Australasian dance scene, Greg Churchill needs no introduction. Yet despite a fabulous 20-year long career, he is still turning out fresh new tunes and keeping the country's clubbing community smiling.
Churchill recently upgraded to a Power Mac G5 2GHz system and has been unstoppable ever since, "I can't stress to any new computer orientated producers the difference an Apple G5 made to my life. Simple really!"
A long time Mac and Logic user, Churchill appreciates the reliability of the Apple platform. And stability and reliability is a big thing when you are producing and remixing as much material as Greg Churchill!
Aside from the applause gained through his local club residencies, big event performances and the generation of some of the hottest tracks, Churchill has been recognised as a stable in the ever-changing dance music industry. He has been voted 'New Zealand DJ of The Year' numerous times, took out the Techno DJ title in 2000 and won the Sony Erickson Lifestyle Awards 'Best House DJ' in 2004.
Greg Churchill - AlbumRegardless of his obvious success, Churchill has maintained his momentum and down-to-earth approach. And he is not above using all of the audio tools at his disposal. In spite of being an avid Logic Pro 7 user, Churchill recently had a track signed to a UK label that was humbly started in GarageBand - the entry-level Apple audio application that comes standard on every new Mac as part of the iLife suite - using Apple loops! A salute to what is possible using only the simple tools Apple provides standard!
